Hydropower's Contribution to an off-grid Renewable Electric system in Scotland

This BBC article from 2017 is a great example of how various renewable sources can be integrated into one off-grid electric system. Having access to electricity without being connected to a national grid system is a challenge affecting populations around the world.

Mini grid systems provide communities with the opportunity to take ownership of the natural resources they have available to them, reducing their dependency on burning fossil fuels for electricity.
